The Sugar House has, over the years, served as year-round residence, hunting camp, weekend getaway -- pretty much whatever its resident has wanted it to be. In some cases families have visited and stayed there for generation after generation!
The Sugar House is located in a shady spot at the foot of the Windswept Acres driveway, below the dam of the upper pond and overlooking the lower pond and the lower horse pasture.
It sleeps from one to six persons; its kitchen is fully equipped. Our Sugar House is decidedly rustic: water is delivered to the sink with a traditional hand pump, heat is either via woodstove or propane heater, and restroom facility is a traditional privy.
Although "rustic" is not for everyone, we've been pleasantly surprised by the number of guests who have come to stay there because it was the only option on a busy weekend.... and come to prefer it!
