In 2009 we decided that we wanted to take one of the things we've always loved doing (and that has been a tradition here for 40 years) -- sharing our home -- and make it part of our business. Since then we've upgraded the house and the guest rooms, rewiring, remodeling, and adding exterior decks and interior amenities to make our visitors feel more pampered and more at home.
Our visitors can choose from "home stay" in the farmhouse's guest rooms (with full run of the house) or exclusive use of the more-rustic (and more private) Sugar House nestled at the foot of the upper pond. We also have areas set aside for guests with RVs!
Whichever choice our guests make, they have access to 55 acres of Vermont hilltop including two ponds (perfect for boating, swimming, fishing, or simply relaxing on the sand beach), a small legacy orchard, many flower gardens, and a barn and pastures for the occasional guest who wants to take advantage of the riding trails in the area.
With the surrounding farms (including Chelsea's Hooved Animal Sanctuary), Windswept Acres offers a classic slice of Vermont life -- with many surprising modern touches.

Note: As indicated in our Frequently Asked Questions, we do discourage pets on the property, for the reasons listed. If you wish to bring your pet, please be sure to mention this when you contact us.
